A Prayer

A prayer for the victims…
A prayer for the dead (wo)man’s soul to rest in peace…
A prayer for the safety of those alive…
A prayer for those living to be able to be strong and not lose hope…
A prayer for the Brave men’s efforts to pay off…
A prayer for this not to b’com a Political/Religion/Civil war (’coz there is no time for that)…
A prayer that such attacks should never be repeated, NEVER AGAIN…
A prayer to know the cause…
A prayer to identify the culprits…
A prayer for a solution…
A prayer to induce some sense in the terrorist’s brain…
A prayer for love n warmth to prevail in this world…
A prayer for a Happy Morning…
A prayer for lasting peace…
A prayer for humans to be more humane…
A prayer for a Happy World...

A Prayer ‘coz it seems to be the safest bet! Amen!

safest bet?? I wonder is that all we have left? A prayer? at least the animals operate with some rules - laws of nature.. we.. are just out to destroy mankind!!

I agree with Preethi, 'safest bet' it seems thats all we can hold on to in the end.

I just hope Pavi that it helps!! :)
Wish there may be someone who can teach these terrorists a lesson... of may be education or otherwise death!! :)

you know whats more cruel? the tragedy is being forgotten...slowly. but the western media whose been harping it has shut it off completely. just like the many other tragedies in India all year round, this one is being slowly closed with lip service, politics, etc. sad.

a prayer for our sanity.

well written. we must keep writing about it, so that people will continue to remember.

Pavi,

I join you in this. May God be kind and sense prevails in mankind.

I was looking for your reply to my comment on your previous post.

Take care

@Preeti : Unfortunately, thats how i feel...a prayer is the only thing I have confidence on rite now...everything else seems like mere speeches, not translating into any results.
n so rightly said..i was watching planet earth this wknd..n animals kill for survival..its only man who kills for no reason!

@Neeku: Yes..n pls read my response to preethi

xh & Ankur: thanks.

@Ghost: Thanks.yes , people are forgetting...n that mabbe a worry..but i feel thsi time around writing n discussing won't help. A bigger action needs to be taken by the bigger levels..Therz no point in endlessly talking about it..'coz the truth is we have all[including the people in mumbai] resumed our regular life...if in the 1st place, we had taken any deviation!

Pavi!!!! said...

@Jack : Thank You.
n I'm sorry..i have been held up with other things..will surely respond to the comments on my other post soon!

@ Ghost,

I do not think we should make this an issue about the WEST or the EAST. There is no competition going on here. The truth is that it is MANKIND that is suffering regardless of cultural backgrounds.

@sneha

hemm luckily i came back to c the comment. if not it wud go unanswered.

no, im not talking about the people, its the media. they live out of blood actually. every single war, every single disaster. sometimes you wonder if they have taken a robotic view of the whole thing, striving to be outside of the emotional sphere to report events. when something happens thousands of miles away, your only eye will be those of the media. thank god blogs have taken over the role so very effectively.

i should have said media as a whole, not only western. my bad.

tc.

well said, my friend. let's pray for the safety of the whole humanity

I might sound like a devils advocate.

Which GOD are we praying to? Who is really listening to all these prayers?

This is your perception of what has happened to majority of people and you are hoping someone listens.

At the same time the terrorists are also inflicting these same wounds in the name of THEIR GOD....

Dont mean to disuade on your heartfelt thought...but this episode and many others that I have unfortunately witnessed at very close range have left me questioning HIS existence.

I agree with d gypsy .. new post ..!!

Pavi!!!! said...

@Satish :Thanks

@Ceedy: I u'stand where ur coming from...sometimes..it feels if there was a god..then none of this would have happened in the 1st place...
But when one is able to think and not get overly emotional..one realizes that mabbe it didn't get worse..'coz there is a God..
Well thats the way i look at it currently..mabbe that'll change in future?!?!
n isn't it awesome..Taj has already reopend!

@D-Gypsy ,Redemption & Broca - Was out on a 2-week vacation.Just got back today. Will resume bloggin n readin blogs soon!
Hope u guys have been fine!

ceedy said...

Honestly I am not emotional...I have kinda become immume to such tragedies....really...

but you are right - it could have been worse - but again....its our perspective....because we are so called outsiders...but the person who is/has lost someone - he/she for most of them it is the end of the world....(get what I mean)

Pavi!!!! said...

@Ceedy : Yes, i agree..there is no "worse" situation for the ones who have lost a loved one...In their minds, this is as bad as it can get...
n it could be several yrs or never before they are able to see reason and comprehend why this had to happen to their loved one.

n about U being immune.I don't think i agree Ceedy.Nopoint in fooling ourselves. None of us are immune to this.Everytime it happens we feel anger n pain [thats why u wrote the story, or questioned the existence of God..Rite]. But yes, these attacks dont leave us as much in shock as they used to.Its b'coming more commonplace and so mabbe we are learning to live with it[like we live with poverty, hunger etc prevailing in this world.

ceedy said...

You are right.

After I wrote this comment here about being immune - and then when I reread the story/your comment...I agree I was angry and felt helpless and somewhat lucky...as it could have been me...as I was in Taj a week before the events....
